This is Stoney - Stoney is Anka's best friend

Well, now that spring is here I am eager to for Anka to have a litter of puppies. I’ve narrowed the choice of stud dogs – go to hausjuris.com to see the choices. Anka is doing well but has shed out her coat recently. That’s a sign she will be coming into heat soon. Somehow though I know the optimal time for breeding will come at an inconvenient time – probably when I am scheduled to be in Los Angeles for my daughter’s graduation. She will probably have to stay at the kennel. She be unhappy about the process but the end justifies the means.

Either Anka or Elo goes with me to the barn each day. Elo especially loves swimming in Western Run while Anka prefers to stay with Fannie and me. Elo is a chow hound who will eat anything – Anka is the opposite, very choosey preferring omelets, home made chicken soup, ground turkey. The other day Elo got into Fannie (my horse) hoof supplement. He ate about three pounds of it. Needless to say, I knew I was in trouble when I say Elo drooling and looking uncomfortable. Let’s just say for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Talk about equal and opposite reactions. Filching the horse chow was only the first of a string of them.

    Nice blog.
